Manchester United and English defender, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is facing a six-month ban for sitting behind the wheel. In his Court appearance on Monday, he pleaded guilty to charges of driving while disqualified and without insurance according to media reports in the UK.
There 24yr-old right back was also handed a further punishment of £31,500 fine.
What Has Been Said?
Wan-Bissaka's lawyer has described the player as being in a "state of complete ignorance". It's been reported that AWB failed to reply to letters from the Court, as a result, had very little or no understanding of the situations he was in and even the court proceedings.
Further comments from Wan-Bissaka's representatives revealed that in one of the stops by the police, AWB was courteous in his approach to the officers, acknowledging that he never knew of his driving disqualification.
On-Field Issues For Wan-Bissaka.
Wan-Bissaka is currently facing time on the sidelined due to an injury sustained in the champions league fixture against Young Boys.
So far, he has failed to start any of Man United's last three premier league games, two of which has been under the new interim boss, Ralf Rangnick.
Portuguese international, Diogo Dalot has been the preferred choice at right back and he has impressed both defensively and offensively.
Questions continue to be asked of Wan-Bissaka's abilities on the ball when found in the opposition's half. This only makes it even more difficult for AWB to regain a place in the starting XI under Rangnick when he comes back from injury.
