Yesterday was again a great match, and for the first time in this World Cup, the final whistle was a relieve. In fact, for the first time in this World Cup, we played a team that was as good as we are : Belgium. The result of this game was there just because of details, a corner, some very good goalkeepers savings on both side, ... But there we were, on a football field, watching this giant screen and shouting like hell to celebrate this victory.

The 2 teams were for me really similar , with a really strong attack, maybe even better on the Belgium side, since Griezmann is far from his best level, maybe physically tired. Hazard did hurt so much during this game, managing to get through the french defense almost each time he tried it out. Two good defensive team, with a great goalkeeper on both side. Varane was even for me maybe the best player on the field yesterday ending dangerous actions many many times.

Maybe the difference was made by midfielders. I have the feeling that Pogba and Kante in addition to their defensive skills, were able to break lines, with the ball or with a good pass forward, where it was more complicated for Witsel, Dembele or Fellaini. We will see tonight if England or Croatia are as good as the 2 teams we saw yesterday, but whatever the level of each team, a final is always hard to win.

I hope we will continue to dream, and that we will add a second star to that jersey !
