Indonesia junior football team made a brilliant achievement as ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup U-16 championship after the final beat Thailand 4-3 (1-1) on penalties at the Gelora Delta Sidoarjo Stadium on Saturday 11 August 2018. This result is Indonesia best achievement in the AFF Cup U-16, after previously reaching the final in 2013.

From the various news summaries I got, the final match between Indonesia and Thailand took place interestingly because both teams were trying to take the initiative to attack. In the first round Indonesia opened the victory through substitute Fajar Fathur in the 33rd minute. While Thailand equalized to 1-1 in the 72nd minute by Apidet Janngam.

On penalties, Indonesia goalkeeper Ernando Ari became a hero by holding back the kicks of two Thai players namely Apidet Janngam and Pongsakorn Innet. While four Indonesia players, namely Sutan Zico, Bagus Kahfi, Rendy Juliansyah, and David Maulana were able to become executors to Thailand's goal.

The results obtained by the Indonesia junior team are certainly very much awaited by all football lovers in the country. So far Indonesian football has rarely achieved so this has become a special prize ahead of Indonesia 73rd independence day on 17 August 2018.

Bravo Indonesia football!
