He who finds a wife they as found a good thing. My hiatus has been due to the very demanding and necessary preparation of my traditional wedding/engagement which took place in my wife's home town last week Wednesday. It was such a joyous occasion for my wife and i after dating for 8 years.
In Nigeria, most men will always to like to have a huge bank account balance before getting married. It is very understandable because of how hard things are in the country. More so if you are an aspiring footballer or playing any sport for that matter, it is believed that having a wife will probably distract you a great deal especially when a baby is involved. It is believed that you will be so busy trying to put food on the table therefore having little or no time for practice. But i do not subscribe to this school of thought and that is why i took this very important decision to get engaged to the most beautiful woman on earth in and out. She is my motivation, she pushes me to be a better person in any of my endeavors. She is a Political Scientist but loves football as much as i do. Maybe not as much as i do, lol.
I do not believe being married will disturb anyone from achieving their goals so long they are committed to the goal, in fact i think women can be an important catalyst. After all, behind every successful, there is always a woman they say. Reminds me of Jesse Owens, arguably the greatest Olympian in history. He was married and worked like 3 jobs before going to win 4 gold medals at the 1936 Olympics in Germany.
I am very motivated by Jesse Owens. I have a business (sell soccer apparels and gears) that i run which is enough to take care of my wife and i for now while nursing my football ambition of going pro. I am planning to expand and open new trade routes for my business very soon. Coupled with the very bright future of SCORUM, i am very optimistic about the future. Our wedding will be come up by April next and be rest assured i will carry you guys along. Below are pictures of my engagement. Do enjoy and upvote your boy. Long live Scorum.......
