The Euphoria that followed the big news of the signing of Alvaro Morata, the former Real Madrid from Spain on the 20th of July in 2017 was received with big applause from Chelsea fans as they believed the Spaniard will fill the boot left by the departure of Diego Costa to his former club Athletico Madrid
Morata, becoming Chelsea’s most expensive signing with the transfer fee of £70m surpassing F Torres transfer fee of £49.73m in 2011 in his five years contract deal. By scoring 15 goals in 26 appearances for Real Madrid and helping them win the Laliga title as well as champions league was expected to help Chelsea score as many as possible and create chances have not been performing up to par, he failed to make the Spain’s world cup squad due to losing form and just struggling to net.
With just 16 goals in 46 appearance for Chelsea, the striker whose misses are more notable than his misses however claimed he still have more to prove as he told the Chelsea’s official website “I think I can prove more, I will be happy if I score a lot of goals and we win trophies this season”
