Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak is, in the view of many football experts, currently the best goalkeeper in the world. According to today's news, he might be heading to Chelsea to replace a rebellious Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois.

Courtois, unlike his compatriot Eden Hazard, didn't show up for the training sessions after their extended summer leave. It is rumored that his wish is to be traded to Real Madrid because he wants to be close to his two kids who are living in the Spanish capital.

On the other hand, Atletico Madrid, Oblak's current team has offered an extension option to Jan's contract. It is worth $1000 million. Yes, a lot of money for a player between the pipes, isn't it?

Will Atletico succeed with the offered extension or will Chelsea solve their issue with the keepers, one way or the other? (almost) everything will be known this Thursday until 4 PM. Why? Premier Leagues transfer period ends then and all agreements must be finalized before that deadline.

What are your thoughts about this market of the goalkeepers?

According to Transfer Markt Oblak's current value is 70 million € which are roughly $81.16 million.
