Well I have to start of course with Belgium! What a great performance!
Finally we managed to win against another favorite in a big tournament!
History should not repeat itself!
I know that this is a strange thing. But my oldest son is almost 10 and when I was 10 Belgium also played to semi finals of a World Cup. Back then it was in Mexico. There we stranded in the semis against Argentina. Not so much Argentina but for sure Maradona!
But this time things are different! The team now believes in themselves! Which could be a big plus! Time will tell. Looking forward to Tuesday when we will face France!
Today games:
Today the semi final from the right side of the bracket will be decided. And let's be honest, no matter who will qualify, it always will be a less appealing semi final than France vs Belgium!
Sweden vs England
It is a tougher one to call, then one would think! Sweden is playing as a team! It seems that they are freed from Ibramovic!
England on the other side, did struggle against Colombia! Only qualifying after the shoot outs! Sweden did surprise me against Switzerland and do play an uncommon (these days) 4-4-2! No only they do play a rather unusual tactic but everybody knows his jobs and sticks to it! England on the other side, needs to have it more from (forgive me) power football!
It will be a nerve wracking game for both side and I do like the odds for more than 2.5 goals (2.768). Because I do find it to hard to pick a favorite, I will go for the over!
Russia vs Croatia
Russia did surprise the world, be reaching the quarters after eliminating Spain! We can't say that it was undeserved but if the would have lost the game, it wouldn't have been undeserved for Spain! They are just not impressing me too much against stronger opponents!
On the side on the pitch, we have Croatia. Croatia is for me the favorite to reach the final of the right side of the bracket!
So I don't doubt it that they will win against Russia! I will rule out the draw, which will give me the odds of 2.171. So Croatia -0.5 will be my bet!

He did score another one, with the 2-1 victory of Belgium over Brazil! That one had odds of 12!
So he is already assured a profit for the complete world cup! Impressive according to me!
Let's see what he predicts for today!
