Of recent, I have been trying to spot out some players whose form or playing style have seen them left out in the line up of their respective teams. Few days ago, I made some blogs as regards the plight of some star players like the Brazilian Philippe Coutinho at Barcelona and also that of the Nigerian international Victor Moses at Chelsea.
Sometimes when I see the countenance of these players by the sideline, I do wonder what's going through their minds. There are of course reasons behind some of these players being inactive in a team, some could be injury, some losing of playing form, others their playing pattern doesn't fit into the playing style of the incumbent coach.
Nothing is disturbing than seeing a one time flourishing player under a former coach become a bench warmer to a new coach. This is the current fate of Isco at Real Madrid under Coach Solari. Would could have happened, what could have changed in the Isco we used to see under Zidane. He had shown every sign of a promising player for Los Blancos under his French boss, but now, I don't think that dream is still feasible with Solari.
It's no more news that the new Madrid coach Santiago Solari sees no value that Isco can add to his squad, hence the Spanish playmaker seems to have fallen out of his Manager's favour. But the situation is becoming deeper for the Spaniard and they could be move away from the Bernabue since his services are no longer needed. To the best of my knowledge, Isco isn't that bad of a player, and I believe top teams in Europe will be on their toes to sign him.

Since the departure of Christiano Ronaldo to Turin, coupled with the resignation of Zidane as Los Blancos coach, the European champions have been on a drastic decline to the extent of not being at the top four in the league few days ago. How unbelievable it will sound even in the ears of their arch rival fans, that a whole Madrid couldn't make it to the champions league. It's a news am not looking forward to.
The team have been struggling to find their feet, coupled with injuries plaguing some of the players, Santiago Solari have still not seen the reason to consider Isco as one of his trusted soldiers. Isco situation currently is a pathetic one, considering his age and the effect continuous benching could have on his career. He is young and many had predicted him being one of the future backbones of Madrid's midfield, however, things are no more the same and the change doesn't seem to be in Isco's favour.
Being a Spanish player is a tasking one, as the player needs to be on top form to make it to the national team. If he is not being featured in Madrid, there is a low possibility of him making it to Spain's national call up. The Spanish team is star studded, and I don't think any surplus player will be entertained for national duty. I haven't heard the Spanish international's position yet as regards his current situation under Solari, but I can read lots of meaning into his silence, and that is "all is not well."

There is certainly no mincing words that the incumbent Los Blancos coach Santiago Solari is not a fan of Isco's style of play. Despite Isco being a four time Champions league winner, the Argentine Boss' formation which is 4-3-3 doesn't recognise the number-10 position which happens to be Isco empire on the pitch.
This I think have gone a long way to dissuade the coach from featuring him, as he believes the Spaniard might not play up to expectations at other positions. Apart from Solari's formation not favouring the playmaker, he has not really been below his standard under his new boss. He has lost form and the Argentine coach doesn't seem like he is ready to continue risking his games.
It's obvious he needs to impress the coach during the training sessions, he must show interest to play for the team and the hunger to give his best. Anything short of this might see Isco glued to that bench or finally settles as a backup player for compensation.
Though many have been saying that Isco needs more playing time to return back to his best and make impacts. However, from the look things, Solari seems not interested in wasting additional minutes on a player that is showing no personal determination to improve his form. The Argentine boss has instead place more premium on younger players that are willing to improve by giving their all to the team. You can mention players like Lucas Vazquez, Vinicius Jr and even the newly signed Brahim Diaz.
So which way forward for Isco. With the way things are going and these younger players being preferred ahead of him, do you think Isco can still turn the tables around at Madrid? Lemme here your thoughts.
