Huddersfield ex-goalkeeper Robert Green undergoes a health check at Chelsea. He is close to sign a one-year contract with the London Club. He is regarded as the third goalkeeper of the Blues. 

The other candidates to play at Stamford Bridge are Jack Butland (Stoke City) and Kasper Schmeichel (Leicester), Sky Sports News reports. 

As others, including @chelseayouth, have pointed out. Green signing makes sense in terms of filling the home grown quota. Certainly not one many people will have seen coming though – provided it goes through of course.
