It's going to be a tough match on Tuesday for both teams as Chelsea obviously has to win this game to escape falling one position under and below one of their longest rivals 'Manchester United'. Crystal Palace, however, will not make the job an easy one for Chelsea.

Head to head

The struggle for Crystal palace to find a more reasonable number on the table has not been an easy one. Now that they'll be at home, they will have a higher chance of winning. In their last five head to head games, Chelsea has been the team with the upper hand, winning four straight times out of the 5. The last time Palace has had a win against Chelsea was in 2017, and they were home.

The winning margin

The margin between their winnings since the last five head to head matches have not been more than two goals with Chelsea having the highest goals. Even though Palace is going to be the home team in this game, it's still a 50-50 chance to take the win home. Especially with the fact that Chelsea, at the moment, is in form.

Previous games records

Crystal Palace has been on the wrong side of the score sheet since their last matches with Liverpool, which ended in an embarrassing defeat of 4 goals to nothing with Liverpool on the bright side of the score sheet. They went on to lose to Burnley in their own home, where Burnley managed to secure a one-goal win. Their last match was with Leicester City, which ended in another terrible loss of 3 goals to nothing.

The team has been having a tough time winning against big teams, and Chelsea doesn't seem to be taking it lightly with any team at the moment, especially since their last win against Manchester City. Crystal palace doesn't seem to be having a great comeback since the coronavirus lockdown lifting. Their only win was against AFC Bournemouth, and that was four matches away. Hopefully, they'll be able to hold Chelsea off in Tuesday's game.

Chelsea, on the other hand, has been ruthless with the goals since their last five matches. As a matter of fact, the only loss they've suffered was against Westham United, which can easily be pardoned since they were the away team in the match.

In their last five matches, Chelsea has scored a total of 15 goals, scoring 2 against Bournemouth in a game that ended as a draw. They went on to thrash Everton 4 goals to nothing at Stamford bridge. Aston Villa also got their share from the number of goals as they deposited 2 goals at the Aston Villa stadium in a game that ended 1 - 2. Chelsea took on Manchester City, and against the popular belief that City would take the win home, the blues outplayed them with the goals and took home a 2 - 1 win. Their last win was against Watford, against whom they scored 3 goals and conceded none. This was right before they suffered a loss against Westham United, who scored three goals against Chelsea's 2. The game, however, was satisfactory and very enjoyable.

The teams

Every single one of Chelsea's players is in his top form at the moment with Christian Pulisic running in from the midfield to create spectacular runs and passes. He's even scored some goals to put Chelsea on the winning sheets. We hope that Chelsea's lineup and formation will be one that helps them attack against Crystal palace since, at the moment, they are only 1 point below Leicester City. If they can secure this win, they'll be 2 points ahead. A draw wouldn't change so much since Leicester is ahead of them with goals.

Crystal Palace, however, is going to be counting on Benteke, Zaha, and Jordan Ayew to create chances that let them retain the win. The team hasn't been on their best but has had better days. They can quickly move from 13th position to 11 and be above Everton if they can secure this win.

Prediction/Verdict

The odds are in favor of Chelsea winning this match so that I will give Chelsea a 1.3 winning odd and 2.5 for Crystal Palace. A draw is also possible so I'll leave it at 2.5 also. May the best team win.
