The EPL has a way of making you doubt yourself as a player. As a result of this ability, it is very easy for consecutive losses or a slow start to the season to have an effect on you throughout the competition. However, some teams have managed to come back from this slump and rise to the top once more. Chelsea would have to find this gift in their next encounter in the league. The game is set to play at the home of Norwich City. With so many things at stake for them, they would surely not want to lose here, again.
Chelsea
A loss to Manchester United and a draw against Leicester sums up the first two weeks of the EPL for Lampard and his boys. While some would put the slow start to the current lack of strikers in Chelsea and their transfer ban, the pressure would surely continue to mount on Lampard. it can only worsen if he fails to win yet again today as the gap between the teams would be fairly opened up as early as the third game. A loss to Norwich City would leave them about 7 points adrift of the top team which could be Liverpool or Arsenal by the end of the day. They are currently in 15th and that is surely somewhere Chelsea would not want to be seen.
Norwich
Norwich would be enjoying their stay in the EPL so far and they are actually doing quite well. This is coming after they first lost heavily to Liverpool as they were introduced into the reality of the premier league. However, a win over Newcastle settled the nerves which were crucial ahead of more important games. The game against Chelsea would fall into this category even something as low as a draw would be enough to skyrocket their current morale and catapult their season into something truly special. They would have to be wary though. Chelsea is currently a wounded giant and those types are usually out for a measure of blood.
Form
A loss against Liverpool left the mark in what would have been a splendid record by Norwich. However, like Liverpool, it would yet be another difficult test and they aren't currently the favorites to win this game. Chelsea remains firm favorites despite the fact that they have a poor recent record. This would include just two wins in their last six. Majority of the games ended in a draw while there was really only loss which came against Manchester United. Lampard is still out seeking for his first EPL win as an EPL manager for Chelsea. That win is believed to not be too far out for them to grasp. For Norwich, it is all about making sure that they give their very best to this game. It becomes a problem however when their best is no longer good enough.
Chelsea the wounded lion would be ever ready to pounce on them with everything they got in their weaponry.
