The New year is here and the football world has kicked off around the globe. In the Spanish league, the teams are just settling in and Levante would be looking to make a difference in the league. They would be facing Girona in this evenly matched game as both teams would look to take with them all three points.

Levante is one team in the Spanish La Liga who are the definition of lukewarm. Sitting right in the middle of the pack, Levante has had a rough good season. However, in recent times, wins have proven hard to come by as they have struggled in recent games. Their recent match against Rayon Vallecano also did not go so well with them having lost that match with a score of two goals to one. They would no doubt be looking to change things when they face off against Girona in their next game in the league. Girona is also another team in the same boat as they are level on points with Levante. They have suffered from a serious lack of consistency in the league so far drawing a bunch of matches to settle for just one position ahead of Levante. Both teams would no doubt be looking to make a huge difference when they face off against each other.

The form of both teams is simply woeful, to say the least. Levante has won just twice in their last six games. When this run is taken back to ten games, it leaves them with three wins from ten. They have drawn four times and lost the other two. Despite the bad form, they would take confidence from the fact that Girona’s form is not any much better. They have won just once in five matches. Their last game again Getafe ended in 1-1 draw. They would be looking to put some distance between themselves and their opponents by the time the final whistle blows.

Line-Ups

The line-ups of both teams would not be expected to change much from what we have seen all season. Girona would have to be on the watch out for Roger Marti who is on fire right now for Levante. He has struck eight times this season and would no doubt be hungry for them. He would also have an efficient partner in the person of Jose Luis Morales who has already scored five times this season. Levante would be hoping that the presence of both players would be enough to cause their opponent's team all sorts of troubles. Girona, on the other hand, might have one or two up their sleeves. They would certainly be buoyed by the presence of Stuani who on his own has already found the back of the net about 11 times this season. This would be the perfect response to anything that is thrown at them by Levante.

Both teams would no doubt be giving their all and it would be interesting to see who would come out victorious in this game.
