Two champions from two different competitions. Although one is more ruthless with goals, the other has a fair advantage with defense. Who's going to crack the Same Cup code? Everyone has their opinions about the Champions League being more competitive since most of the biggest teams play there. However, I believe strongly that the Europa League is just the same as the champions league, only that it's not as popular.

In this article, we'll compare and contrast their stats to see which team is in a better position to win in their game tomorrow. We'll look at their head to head stats, their previous games, and then we'll predict what the results would be so that you can have a clearer understanding of the situation before you stake your money.

Head to Head

It's challenging to state which side is the better between these two teams judging from their head to head games. They have only met twice, and Bayern Munich won Sevilla to be able to qualify for the next round in the competition. It was a fierce competition anyway, one that left Sevilla's talisman with a red card.

In the only two games that they played, Sevilla lost the first one in their own home and drew the other one in Bayern's home. The scoreline was 1 - 2 and 0 - 0, respectively.

This is why I said it is difficult to predict which team is better since Bayern didn't beat them home and away, and maybe if Sevilla hadn't recorded a red card, they'd have won in the second meeting.

Previous Games Records

These two sides have been spectacularly awesome. They're sides that every other team needs to fear, and now that they're placed face to face with each other in the Super Cup (as expected), we know that the one with the more substantial goal-scoring prowess (Bayern is the one to look out for).

These two sides are good at recording winning streaks. Bayern, for example, has been thrashing every team they come up against. Even the almighty Barca took home an ignominious defeat when they were beaten with a whopping 8 - 2. That's not the last time Bayern scored 8 goals anyway. In their most recent game against Shalke04 where they won with 8 goals to nothing.

The only two times that Bayern has won with a one-goal margin in the last 8 games was first against Marseille, and then against PSG in the Champions League final.

Sevilla, on the other hand, has also been brutal with wins. They were on an eight-game winning streak until they recently lost their last game to Atletic Bilbao. Before then, they thrashed every team they came up against, including Manchester United, Inter Milan, and AS Roma.

Sevilla will pose a good challenge against Bayern Munich; however, it is improbable that they'll win the match. If they do win it, they'd pretty much won the Champions League for the season (joke).

Predictions/Verdict

We'll place the odds at 1.5 for Bayern to win, 8.5 for Sevilla to win, and 5.5 for a full-time draw.

May the better side win.
