The Detroit Catholic Central boys soccer team had a 3-0 win over Rochester on Wednesday evening. John Willemsen, Ben Kirovac and Jack Leuker each found the net for the Shamrocks in the victory.

SEAHOLM 3, BLOOMFIELD HILLS 3

The Bloomfield Hills and Seaholm soccer teams played to a 3-3 tie on Tuesday evening in OAA action. Nick Ross scored twice for the Maples while Michael Nuculaj also scored.

WOLL SWEEPS SHRINE

The Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes volleyball team opened Catholic League play on Wednesday and earned a 25-18, 25-16, 25-12 win over Royal Oak Shrine. Natalie Koenig had six digs, six aces and five kills for the Lakers while Angeline Essa had three kills and three digs. Abby Kawka added six digs and two aces while Sophia Hadash had four kills.

GIRLS GOLF

BLOOMFIELD HILLS 181, ROCHESTER 228

The Bloomfield Hills girls golf team defeated Rochester on Wednesday, 181-228. Lizzie Pierce shot a 41 to lead the Black Hawks while Esha Varchasvi shot a 44, Paige Pierce posted a 47 and Sanju Swamy carded a 49.

GIRLS SWIMMING

NOVI WINS QUAD

The Novi girls swimming team earned three wins on Tuesday night in a quad, defeating Midland Dow (120-66), Milford (145-39) and Clarkston (105-81).

The team of Kotoki Blair, Olivia Mayoras, Kyla Matthews and Julia Katuslki won the 200 freestyle relay (1:41.85) for Novi. Katulski also won the 200 freestyle (1:59.04), while McKaela Hill won diving (223.35).

Clarkston won the 200 medley relay (1:52.82) with a team of Betsey Walkowiak, Alexis Moon, Caroline Hughes and Haley VanBuskirk. VanBuskirk won the 200 IM (2:14.97) and the 500 freestyle (5:24.24), while Hughes won the 100 butterfly (1:00.28) and the 100 backstroke (1:01.41). Alexis Moon won the 100 breaststroke (1:10.03).

BOYS WATER POLO

WALLED LAKE CENTRAL 13, LAKE ORION 5

In their home opener on Tuesday, the Lake Orion boys water polo team lost to Walled Lake, 13-5. The Dragons were led in scoring by Colin Calvert, who had three goals, with JP Buckner and Michael Pavelich each adding a goal apiece. Matt Stone stopped 12 shots in goal, while Calvert led the team with three steals.
