Another day, another win for Solskjaer as he becomes the first Manchester United manager to win the first 6 games in a row. He broke the record of Matt Busby of 5 straight wins in the first five games which were set in 1946-47. It was the first five straight premier league win for Matt Busby, which means Solskjaer equalized the first 5 straight premier league win and would look to break this record when Manchester United welcomes Brighton next Saturday at Old Trafford. He should probably get it too given the form Manchester United is on.

At Old Trafford, it was the biggest test for Solskjaer, which he passed with ease. He now knows his boys, and he knows which starting XI will get him the result. He put a distinct starting XI with Rashford leading the line. Pogba played behind Rashford while Lingard and Martial were at the wing. Herrera and Matic linked the play in the center of midfield. Jones partnered with Lindelof for the suspended Bailey following the red card. Spurs played 4-3-1-2 with inform Son Heung-min and Harry Kane leading the line and Alli behind them.

It was full on entertainment for the crowd at Wembley between these 2 teams. Both teams played with energy and attacked each other continuously. Both teams showed the discipline in defense. There was no time to blink the eyes as both teams were eager to take the ball to opposition half. First, it was Harry Winks who failed to hit the target early in the match. Then, Harry Kane got it back in the net but his celebration didn't last long after the offside flag.

Just before the half time, Spurs gave away the ball in the middle of the pitch after the pressure from Lingard. Pogba quickly crossed into the running Rashford who got better off his marker in the far post. Although difficult angle, Rashford finished it perfectly into the corner of the net to provide United a deserving lead. It is third back to back goals for Rashford who is in superb form under the new managers. Pogba with this assist makes it 4 goals and 4 assists in last 5 matches. United went to the second half with a 1-0 lead.

The second half was all about de Gea and his brilliance. United created some good chances early on the second half but Lloris denied Paul Pogba in a couple of occasions. It was fingertips of Lloris that denied an excellent chance for Pogba. At the hour mark, United dropped behind which allowed Spurs to go forward. Spurs continuously attacked but couldn't get better off de Gea. Some of the best saves for de Gea included a stunning save from Alderweireld with the feet, a great dive to hold free-kick from Harry Kane, one on one with Dele Alli which he tipped with his foot and another lightning save by foot from Harry Kane. In total, he made 11 saves in this match to win it for United by 1-0. It was his best display after his another match-winning performance against Arsenal with14 saves last year.

Here is the 11 heroic save by de Gea:

With this win, United still are at 6th with 41 points but behind Arsenal only by goal difference. Before Solskjaer took the hot seat, United was 10 point behind Arsenal. United is just 6 points shy of Champions League position. The loss to Spurs would be a great advantage to Liverpool as title race would be 2 horse race between Liverpool and City. Spurs are now third in the table, 9 points behind Liverpool. With Arsenal hosting Chelsea next week, it would be an excellent opportunity for United to get into top 5 or be closer to the fourth position given they win big against Brighton.

Betting

Yesterday was a disaster but a good result to show today. I staked 45 SCR in the match between Manchester United and Spurs(10 SCR for a total over 2.5 not in the screenshots) and 20 SCR for Bournemouth vs Everton. Luckily, it was a big win, thanks to Solskjaer.
