Yet another day, another win, another 3 points, another excellent game by Pogba, it is 3 wins in a row for Manchester United, 4 goals and 3 assists for Pogba in as many as 3 games. United is flying high and Pogba is proving his critics wrong. Goal keep coming, points keep adding, it feels like ages since United lost to Liverpool which ended Mourinho term. Its 12 goals in last 3 games, for the first time since December 2011, United scored 12 goals in 3 consecutive games. Looks like old good days are back.

In a busy week of football, United welcomed Bournemouth at Old Trafford. Like the previous 2 games, United squad was rejuvenated, clever passing and attacking from the first minute. It just took 5 minutes for United to come into a lead. Marcus Rashford got better of Nathan Ake and Diego Rico on the right and made a perfect pass that found Pogba for the first goal. Pogba again got the second for United, this time, Pogba headed another good cross from Ander Herrera.

At the 45th minute, Rashford scored from the wonderful cross by Martial who came back into this game after missing the previous because of illness. But just before the end of the first half, United conceded a goal. Although United was playing better football, Bournemouth troubled United in the entire half mainly from the corners. But at the end, they got the result as Nathan Ake headed pass de Gea and deny the clean sheet. With this, United is bottom at the clean sheet ranking. United only managed 2 clean sheets after 20 matches, the lowest in the division along with Fulham.

United kept on attacking but the fourth one looked harder to come. Both Rashford and Pogba was denied by Begovic before Romelu Lukaku made his first appearance under Solskjaer replacing Rashford. It only took 130 seconds for Lukaku to grab a goal against his favorite opponent, against who he has scored 8 goals in the previous 7 meeting. Pogba found Lukaku with a good pass but lucky for Lukaku that he was not flagged offside.

The perfect day for United with a 4-1 lead by the 72nd minute was ruined after Eric Bailly saw the straight red card for a nasty challenge on Fraser. United played last 11 minutes with 10 men. It also means Bailly will miss the next 3 matches which include matches against Newcastle, Reading, and Spurs. Baily is going to be a big miss for struggling United defense.

After another great game, United are at the sixth with 35 points, 3 points behind Arsenal and 8 points behind Chelsea. When Solskjaer took over, Arsenal was 8 points ahead of United. Now with Pogba and Rashford firing, and Martial, Lukau, and Sanchez back in the squad, we will be seeing more great football. But United need to do something to improve the defensive record. With the January transfer window opening, we might see some reinforcements. Up next, United will travel to St. James Park on 2nd of January to face Newcastle United, and without a doubt is going to be another exciting match.
