Manchester City with 2 games to go for them and three games for City Rivals who sits at the second spot with 10 points clear, Manchester City were yet to be Crowned because if they gained only a point from their remaining fixtures and United on the other hand gets to win all including Leicester and Liverpool fixture, it would have been a total twist with the trophy heading to the Red side of Manchester but Manchester United blew up the opportunity themselves with the loss at home to Leicester who on the other hand are witness are consistent drop in points thereby making it uncertain to end in top four but as it stands they've regained the third position off from Chelsea as they await result from the London Derby as Chelsea faces off Arsenal today.
Due to the tight fixtures Manchester United do have in recent times and the final they're into, it's highly logical and reasonable to rest players to pre-empt Fatigue from setting in as well as getting themselves injured. The Likes of Bruno, Pogba, Cavani, Rashford, Fred, Luke Shaw, Maguire, who had been an integral part of the Ole winning eleven didn't start the game as Greenwood was more like the only regular player on the pitch as at kick-off. The rest players couldn't replace the key players with Van De Beek and Juan Mata not able to control the Midfield with the Dutch struggling through out the game.
Luke Thomas found the back of the net early in the game for Leicester city before Mason Greenwood equalised for the home team Leicester City Defender; Soyuncu with his header ended the game in favour of the Foxes who apparently needed the game more considering the threat and pressure of losing the Top four spot especially from Chelsea and Liverpool. Leicester City found themselves in this kind of spot last season and yet couldn't make the Champions league as they lost opportunity of going with 3 games to go, I feel Rodgers is more careful with the team's loss to Newcastle and still have Chelsea to play, so, if they truly Want the top four finish they just have to give their all and possibly not lose a game with Liverpool having 4 games to play including Manchester United tomorrow at Anfield.
WHO TO BLAME FOR UNITED LOSS?
OLE can't be blamed for dropping off players ahead of Liverpool fixtures although he brought in Rashford and Cavani but the midfield weren't supplying the required chances which forced him to bring in Bruno but it was too late as the Foxes stole the Victory.
Another round of blame can be thrown at the fans who caused this tight schedule for their team after protesting for the owners of the club to leave the club for joining the European Super league ahead of Liverpool fixture which the officials and Security couldn't restore sanity as they invaded the pitch and took about one hour, 30minutes (1:30) to restore sanity, by then the game and been restored and United got a rescheduling thereby to play 4 games within 9days and the Captain; Maguire got injured against Villa.
Still on the Blame game. Do Van De Beek still deserve the United Shirt as he's not showing effort or improvement in his game even when he has the opportunity as he got fans throwing shades at him after the loss, Juan Mata got a fair share in the Blame as well as his partnership with Van De Beek was just too porous but fingers can't be pointed to Ole for not using Bruno and Pogba.
ANFIELD; NEXT LOCATION
Manchester United just made their next fixture against Liverpool to get tougher as the Reds re fighting their way into too four and United just gave the Foxes a 3-point advantage to be in the top-four, hence the defending champions will definitely be Playing as wounded beast trying to devour the Red Devils at all cost with 4 games to go including this longtime Rivalry between both sides.
THE CHAMPIONS
MANCHESTER CITY will be lifting their fifth premier league trophy to equal Chelsea and since the change of name to the Barclays Premier league, only City Rivals, Manchester United have won more league titles with Thirteen (13) and I know That the Citizens will want to use their financial status to see to breaking that Red Devil's record, though that will take some time but if Manchester United refuses to recover quick enough and City continue in this form then in about 2 decades we'll be ready for another rewriting of history.
