Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer is in all probability soon past the Scottish club, and the club's manager Ange Postecoglou has apparently appointed another Scandinavian, Swedish Carl Starfelt, as a replacement for the Norwegian defensive profile.

In the summer of 2019, Carl Starfelt was bought to Rubin Kazan for around €1 million. His first season in Russia featured only in 10 matches, but last season he played in 29 games, while he also scored three goals and a single assis.

Glasgow believes to know that the Carl Starfelt breakthrough now makes Rubin Kazan demand around €3.5 Million for 26-year-old Starfelt. Celtic have already bought the young defender Osaze Urhoghide, but further reinforcements will be needed if or when Ajer leaves.

Ajer is interested in leaving Celtic and there has been several interest from several teams. Norwich, who are back in the Premier League, are apparently willing to pay €12 million for Ajer, which in 2016 cost Celtic €500,000.
