English Premier League News: Sky Sports reports Olympiakos and Standard Liege are in talks with Liverpool over Lazar Markovic transfer. The Reds did not need the power Markovic and want to sell it this summer.

The Serbian has not appeared in a competitive match for the Reds since a substitute appearance against QPR in May 2015, five months before Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers as manager.

Since then the 24-year-old, who was brought in 20 million pounds from Benfica by Rodgers in the summer of 2014, has had loan seasons at Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull and Anderlecht.

Markovic is currently with the first team squad for their involvement in the International Champions Cup in the United States but only plays a small role in pre-season.

The player with 22 international caps, who missed Serbia's World Cup squad, made it one goal in Liverpool's 2-0 victory at Blackburn last week.

Recently Liverpool also took off its young assets. Liverpool's young midfielder Allan officially signed a contract extension at Anfield and joined German club Eintracht Frankfurt on loan for the season, another loan season that the midfielder has to play.

The Brazilian midfielder originally moved to Anfield from Internacional in 2015 and has now committed his future to the club by agreeing on a new deal, though it has not yet been able to strengthen the Reds main team.

The 21-year-old is now heading for Germany, where he will continue his development with the Bundesliga team, Eintracht Frankfurt. Frankfurt won the German Cup last season and Liverpool will hope the young midfielder continues to gain good experience, both domestically and in European competition.
