Italian giant AC-Milan has reportedly rekindled their interest on purchasing Arsenal central midfielder Lucas Torriera. With a bid set to be around 35million euros. An attempt to sign the Uruguay international failed last year. However, of recent, the mid-fielder has not been favoured by current Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.

Torriera who was purchased from Sampdoria in 2018 had a wonderful first season. Under ex-manager Unai Emery, the Uruguayan played a total of 34 league games. Nonetheless, for some not specified reasons, likely due to not fitting into the manager’s tactics he has found it difficult to get enough game time this season.

On his part Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has most of the times opted to go for Dani Ceballos and either of Matteo Guenduezi and Granit Xhaka. To make matters worse, Torriera suffered an injury in March which was reportedly set to keep him on the sidelines till the end of this season but should be back if the season returns in the summer thanks to the break caused by the pandemic.

Having been in an Italian club for two years, thereby being familiar with the Italian atmosphere, a move to AC-Milan is a pragmatic deal for the current Arsenal man.
