According to the reports in Italy, French forward and World Cup winner Olivier Giroud has eventually concurred to personal terms with San Siro giants Inter Milian.

The Chelsea and France forward has constantly been overlooked by English boss Frank Lampard. Who most of the times preferred to play a certain Tammy Abraham or Batsuayi ahead of him.

After having a terrible first half-season, Giroud tried to push a move to San Siro in January which was resisted by the London side. No thanks to a need for a backup traditional number 9.

However, an injury to English man Abraham and some poor run of form from the Belgian Batsuayi meant Chelsea had to make Giroud a starter before the outbreak of the pandemic.

'Cometh the hour, cometh the man' was the case of Giroud after the opportunity of regular playing time arrived. His performance got the eyes of fans at the Bridge and Chelsea began seeking talks for contract renewal.

Nonetheless, it seems Giroud is having none of that as he has opted to finalise negotiations on personal terms with inter.

That being the case, the Frenchman would have to move to the San Siro on a free transfer as his contract with the blues is slated to climax at the end of the season.

Reports from Italy suggest a move to Inter significantly means a reduction in wages for Giroud. Giroud currently earns £135,000 per week. However, a move to Inter would most likely see him earn around £110,000 per week. Which should be in accordance with the Italian top earners.

Is Giroud right to have agreed on personal terms which put him in line to receive lower wages?

I would love your beautiful comments.
