Many things is changing today in our society and the world of sport is not left behind as UEFA confirm that Stephanie will be the referee to take charge of the super cup final that will be play on August 14 between Chelsea and Liverpool at Vodafone Park in Istanbul. This will be the first time in the history of football that female referee will be controlling a major UEFA male match which really shows that what a man can do a woman can do more better.

It is the tradition every season that the winner of the UEFA champions league will always face the winner of the UEFA Europa league to decide the winner of the UEFA Super cup and this year edition is between two giants from England, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Although this is not the first time Stephanie will be in charge of men football, she has done that before when she officiated the match between SC Amiens and RC Strasbourg this season in the ligue 1 and by August 14, she will be accompanied by other female assistance referee and with what she has shown in the recent past, it really shows that she can control any big game no matter the gender.

Stephanie

Stephanie is a French female referee who started her referee career in 2011 in the Championnat National which is the third division of French men league and in 2014, she was promoted to ligue 2 as the first female referee to participate at that stage and finally in 2019, she got her first job done in the ligue 1 in one of the match between Sc Amiens and RC Strasbourg.

She was in charge of the FIFA Women's World Cup final in July after been selected as one of the best referees to make it to the round of 16 and finally to the final of the competition. She was the referee in charge of the UEFA Women's Euro semifinals in 2017 to mention few of her achievement.

For her to have got a big recognition at this stage of football shows she has contributed positively to the game and am really happy UEFA is trusting her with this. This will really go along way to challenge other female referee to give their best to the game of football. It really goes in line with the dying that what a man can do a woman can do better

.

It is really a great honour for her to be representing in such a big stage of football and that has really defines how she has contributed to the development of the round leather game.
