Hello everyone! Welcome back to another sport educating post from @Oxygen02. While thinking of what to actually post today on the platform, I got inspired by the book "Black Boy."

For some days now, i have been reading the story of the Black Boy written by Richard Wright. An American author, trying to share his experience in the book on how the Negros has really suffered from racism and race discrimination. When i laid my hands on the book, initially i just wanted to read for fun but after going through some chapters, it become part of my daily routine to read the book to the end. Actually the book is not on sport, it is mainly on racism.

After reading through, i started imagine if really there is any game or sport that exist in the 18th and 19th century because Richard as a Black nigger as been called by the white folks find it very difficult right from his childhood through his adolescence stage to get along.

I just want to thank God for giving me the privilege to be part of this century where sport has been a major tools in battling Racism. This days now, it is a big crime for someone to discriminate between any race and that is one of the concept every sport out there is really preaching.

Now football in particular and every other sport out there has unite the whole world and make it one. We now see countries coming together in every part of the continent to compete for trophies at world level. A typical example is the world cup which comes up every 4 years and allow every countries that qualify no mater the size or color to participate. Another one is the Olympic that contain different sporting activities and also allow one country to learn the culture of another country.

In every match now, we see player exchanging their jersey as a way of showing love to one another in respective of the their color and race. Even when any player is found guilty of racism, such player is been handed the rightful punishment for such offense.

Despite the continental drift, sports in general has really done well by creating the aota of love within us. Now we see player from the African continent playing football in Europe and also player from Europe playing in the MSL league and like that everywhere across the globe. If there is another word at there for Sport, it will definitely be Love and if am asked to define it in one word, it will still be Love.

Sport in general make us feel like we are from the same family. We just want to talk about it even with our greatest enemy😁 and this will lead to my own experience on how football as unite me and one guy in my street.

My Experience

There is this particular guy in my street who always feel like he is superior to every other guy and for this every other guys in the area deserted him for that proudness. Though we didn't fight each other but everyone just go his way and we never talk to each other. To my greatest surprise, we are supporting the same football club and I'm not even aware of it because never exchange words. It is a match between Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the champions league final and we were fortunate to sit beside each other at the viewing center.

We looked at each other and never exchange greetings talk less of talking to each other because he wanted me to do the greetings and i was planning in my mind how to ignore him for the whole 90 minutes. To cut the long story short, Didier Drogba scored the equalizing goal for Chelsea and before we know it, we already hug each other because we are very passionate and emotional. The match went to shootout and Chelsea won. On our way back home with joy written on our faces started talking to each other and was analyzing the while match together. Ever since then, our motive change towards each other and the friendship started growing. The Game Unite Us.
