AC Milan

UEFA has punished AC Milan for violating the rules of financial fair play. The Italian team will not appear in the European Cups in the years 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 (if they will qualify).

AC Milan' problems have started before the 2017/18 season, when Yonghong Li, the Chinese Rossoneri owner, decided to spend on transfers of 150 million euros, while the club could not count on the compensation in the form of profits from the Champions League (Milan only participated in the UEFA Europa League). This indicated problems with Financial Fair Play, because it was difficult to meet its conditions.

Milan is still entitled to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne within 10 days from obtaining the sentence justification. Full information on the accusations for AC Milan will be presented soon. If the decision remains valid, the Rossoneri place in the UEFA Europa League will be taken over by Fiorentina.
