2014 World Champion Germany is going through worse time and they are loosing lots of matches recently. Today, they lost against the current World Champions France by 2-1 despite taking early lead and being ahead for nearly an hour in the match. This loss came at no surprise considering the present form of Germany. Germany has lost 6 matches out of last 10 matches. This run of defeat is their worse run in 18 years and it might put Joachim Low in some pressure of being sacked and his 12 year of dominance in German Football.
This series of loss started from March when they lost with Brazil by 1-0. 3 months after that, they went to loose against Austria by 2-1. In another pre-world cup fixture, they managed to win against Saudi Arabia by 2-1. In the World Cup, they lost against Mexico and Korea Republic. Last weekend, they were thrashed by the Dutch by 3-0 and today's lost against France makes it 6 losses in last 10 matches which also includes 1 draw against France.
In today's match, at 14th minute, Germany took an early lead as Kroos scored from a lucky penalty. The cross from Sane struck the upper arm of Kimpembe and penalty was awarded to Germany. It was a harsh call for France but lucky call for Germany to get something out of this match. Kroos calmly stoke it home although Lloris was able to get hand to it. Germany was on lead till the 62nd minutes. France levelled from the header by Griezmann from Lucas Hernandez’s perfect cross. After Matuidi was brought down by Hummels, France got the penalty in 80th minute. Griezmann again scored sending Neuer to the wrong direction.
