Nepal Police Club has defeated Three Star club in the final of the Khaptad Gold Cup to lift the trophy. In the final match today at the Dhangadi Stadium, the crowd was huge. A goal from Abhishek Rijal in the 64th minute was enough for NPC to win the title.

The first half was interesting; both teams missed some excellent chances. But in second half NPC played a more attacking game, in the 64th minute Abhishek Rijal goal helped them to take the lead. After that Three Star created few chances but failed to convert and they face defeat in the final once again. The winner team NPC received 21 lakh rupees, Meanwhile runnerup Three Star Club receive ten lakhs rupees only.

After the lousy performance in the A Division league this year, NPC has made a good comeback winning this Khaptad Gold Cup. In this tournament, they defeated the first, second and third ranked team (manang Maryshandi, Snakata FC and Three Star) in the A division league to clinch the title. Ravi Paswan of NPC has received the most valuable player of the tournament and awarded with the motorbike. Abhishek Rijal was selected the Man of the Match in the final and received ten thousand cash prize. Tirtha Rana of NPC finished the tournament as the highest scorer and received fifteen thousand cash. Congratulations NPC !!!!!!!!!!!!!
