West Ham lost 3-1 yesterday away at Arsenal to be rooted at the bottom of the Premier League (PL) after 3 games played, this despite spending £100 Million in the transfer window and bringing in Manuel Pellegrini as manager.

If Fulham do not lose today, West Ham will be the only team in the PL without any points, not a scenario most West Ham fans were expecting at the start of the season, even taking in to consideration the tough start we had for our first few games.

It was all looking good when Arnautovic scored on 25 minutes to put us 1-0 up away from home, unfortunately the lead only lasted 5 minutes, the West Ham defence is leaky, after this game it's 9 goals conceded in 3 games, so it was no surprise to see Arsenal get a goal back .

The turning point may have been Arnautovic going off on 59 minutes, he was causing Arsenal a lot of problems and was linking up well with Anderson, this was quickly followed by Antonio being replaced, West Ham weren't the same team after that.

Jack Wilshere made is return to Arsenal but unfortunately for us he didn't play as well as he has done in previous games, probably it was mixed emotions to go back to a club he spent so long at, that is now out of his system so hopefully he will improve in future games against Arsenal.

Arsenal took the lead with an own goal by debutante Diop, there was an element of luck in the goal but Arsenal really upped it second half and West Ham will rue the missed chances in the first half when Arsenal weren't playing well.

Arsenal made it 3-1 when Wellbeck had all the time in the world in the box to swivel and plant a shot in the corner of the goal in injury time. The scoreline flattered Arsenal somewhat, however they played a lot better second half.

West Ham played well in this game but that is the only comfort we can take from this defeat, no points though which is more important. The next game is against newly promoted Wolves, who got a great point at home against champions Manchester City. This will not be an easy game but is now looking like a must win game, especially with us being at home.

West Ham fans are not panicking just yet but a loss to Wolves next game would really put us under pressure and that pressure can then start to mount up, at the moment we seem to be playing well enough that if Pellegrini can sort out the defensive problems we will be alright, this is probably going to be his most difficult managerial job he has ever had in football.
