Thanks God, pause in national leagues are over and England Premier League is returning this weekend. It brings us derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Watford. In normal circumstances this would be easy game which Spurs should win with more than one goal margin, but when we count previous form we realize this is going to be real derby.

Watford

Watford is last club on the table with only 3 points from 8 games. They earned points against Newcastle, Arsenal and Sheffield United. They have no win this season so far. Watford showed something worth mentioning only against Arsenal when they managed to comeback from 0:2 to 2:2. They showed they can concede unbelievable number of goals against Manchester City. Here are Watford last results and game schedule:

Sun 15/09/19 PRL Watford - Arsenal 2:2

Sat 21/09/19 PRL Manchester City - Watford 8:0

Tue 24/09/19 LEC Watford - Swansea City 2:1

Sat 28/09/19 PRL Wolverhampton - Watford 2:0

Sat 05/10/19 PRL Watford Sheffield United 0:0

Sat 19/10/19 PRL Tottenham Hotspur - Watford

Sat 26/10/19 PRL Watford - AFC Bournemouth

Tue 29/10/19 LEC Everton - Watford

They look like no match for Premier League this season and I don't know how Arsenal managed to drop point against them.

Tottenham

This club announced fight for top 4 places on the table, but now sits in the middle of it. They showed, just like Watford, that they can concede unbelievable number of goals. Bayern gave them 7, Brighton looked like Manchester City against them in last game scoring only 3 goals after total domination. First goalkeeper Lloris has been injured and will be out of action until next year. Gazzaniga, second hand goalkeeper, will try to protect net. Spurs signed free agent Vorm to be reserve goalkeeper. I just love those players who can not find new club they are all welcomed to Spurs. Eriksen and Son probably will not play. Foyth played for Argentina in international break, so i guess he is ready for some EPL action. Here are last results and schedule for Spurs:

Sat 21/09/19 PRL Leicester City 2 - 1 Tottenham Hotspur

Tue 24/09/19 LEC Colchester United P 0 - 0 Tottenham Hotspur

Sat 28/09/19 PRL Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 1 Southampton

Tue 01/10/19 UCL Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 7 Bayern München

Sat 05/10/19 PRL Brighton & Hove Albion 3 - 0 Tottenham Hotspur

Sat 19/10/19 PRL Tottenham Hotspur 16 : 00 Watford

Tue 22/10/19 UCL Tottenham Hotspur 21 : 00 Crvena Zvezda

Sun 27/10/19 PRL Liverpool 17 : 30 Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs showed not only they can concede a lot of goals, but that they are also very prone to ridiculous mistakes. Way how they get red cards, or drop ball on goal line, or make chances for other sides make Poch totally right when he said that "We need to win ourselves first, because we are the worst opponent to ourselves." I totally agree with that statement.

I think a lot of Spurs players are not satisfied with their high price tag and don't care for club anymore. They don't see themselves here after January or June next year, and simple don't care. It's questionable if Poch sees himself in club too, or he is already in Manchester United just waiting for big announcement. Things are looking dark. Sessegnion is still not ready to play which means that Rose will play on left back. I must say I totally agree with Roy Kane who said for him that he was "shocking and insolent" during game against Czech Republic and that "someone really need to catch up this guy". Perfect description. Add to that players like Aurier who is not good enough to play in Hartlepool and holograms like Alderweireld or Verthongen or their lost in space substitute Sanchez + second hand goalkeeper and you'll get full picture of this broken army. That's why I don't think Spurs are favorites against Watford. Lo Celso is not ready to play too.

Poch is talking different things every few days so he announced big and painful reconstruction of team in January week ago and in last statement he said he does not need any new player because those he has are so superb and "the best". Recent games shows quite opposite and that is sad fact that Spurs need big broom to clean up all those woodwork.

Head to head statistics

When we look head to head statistics we see that in last 6 games when Tottenham is host Watford lost 5 and managed to draw only once in league cup. That makes Spurs big favorite here, but statistic and tradition are not playing.

Conclusion

There is no clear favorite in this fascinating relegation fight. I expect unexpected like red card for Spurs or some new funny goal conceded and then eating grass to turn things around. I expect Watford park bus and Spurs unable to create more than 3 chances for entire game. I hope I am wrong, but it looks like that. Next EPL game for Tottenham will be against Liverpool away. They have nothing to search there, so points here are very important. Beating direct rival is very important and give you big advantage in this kind of fight.
