With all serious leagues from serious countries suspended we can only search for not so strong leagues from other countries particularly from country where number of respirators in hospitals is "state top secret", where minister of health said few days ago that "Corona Virus is the most laughable virus in history of mankind" where President of Football Association Slavisa Kokeza already has Covid-19. Welcome to Serbia into Vozdovac - Partizan game preview.
Vozdovac
"Dragons" came from part of Belgrade called Vozdovac. They are average team in Serbia which is at the moment at 8th place of the table. They have 10-5-10 with 39 goals scored and 38 conceded. This is last play off place. In this League after everyone play each other twice clubs are divided into two groups where first 8 play each other in play off and last 8 in play out. Home side is danger of losing that place. They look like out of form with only 1 point from last 6 games. They draw against Backa Topola 3:3 (yes those are gentlemen from one of my previous articles) and lost against Mladost Lucani 2:1, Spartak Subotica 2:3, Cukaricki 2:1, Vojvodina 1:2 and Indjia 3:0 (!!). That is poor form. Schedule for next weeks for them are: Macva, Napredak, Rad, Radnik all clubs from bottom half of table. They changed coach day ago. New coach is Jovan Damjanović.
Partizan
Black and whites are 2nd on the table with 55 points 11 less than leader Red Star and just 1 point more than 3rd placed Vojvodina. Partizan has 17-4-4 with 57 goals scored and 18 conceded. "Steem roller" is not playing to well after season break.They won Radnik 3:0, earned point from near the end penalty against Backa Topola in 1:1 draw, won Proleter 3:1, draw with Red Star 0:0, won Radnicki Nish 1:0. Last game they played was 4:0 win against Spartak Subotica second squad in Serbian cup. Despite those victories I'd say that Partizan isn't playing anything special. I saw end of game against Backa Topola and majority of game against Radnicki and I can say it's playing without creating to many chances. It's solid, but club like Partizan should play better than that.
Last game
Vozdovac might not have to many victories in last games, but in previous part of season they won Partizan away with 1:2. It was ugly game with penalty gift for away side.They took lead 0:1 and Partizan equalized near the end, but then went all in attack and conceded goal from counter attack after poor reaction of defense.
Conclusion
Vozdovac can surprise from time to time. Bookmakers give odd on around 1.48 for Partizan win, but I am not so sure game will end like that. Vozdovac has big motive to remain in play off position. Partizan has motive too to stay second above Vojvodina. It's well known fact that clubs which change coach play little better in next few games. I expect this shock therapy to work in this game. Partizan has few key players injured (Natko, Sadiq). Neither side will not have support from terraces because they will be empty, but that is usual for this league. Players won't feel big difference.
I think Vozdovac will get something from this game, but I can't place a bet on betscorum because there isn't Serbian league available. If I could I would put 50 SCR on 1X for odd 2.20 and take some risk. It could end up in Drakaris! situation like in first part of season.
