Mickey Van de Ven celebrating. Pictured by TottenhamAway

Tottenham won match against Luton with result of 1:0 thanks to Madders magic and great performances of Mickey Van de Ven and Cristian Romero. We could see right approach to the game from minute one. As soon as game started Spurs began to press opponent. Richarlison had great chance, but missed empty net. To be fair later I saw he was pulled for shirt, but I am not sure how strong that pull was. He was on far post, net was empty in front of him but he fired up ball wide. Soon after Madders found him with ball in space, he made good run was face to face with goalkeeper but Luton galie saved his not to good shot. He really made me angry after that. Son and Madders had chances to shot and score, but Son's shots were to close to goalkeeper, while Madders fired up few shots above crossbar. Excellent Dejan Kulusevski had also one opportunity but his low shot toward far post was saved by today excellent Luton goalie. Home side didn't threat and their players were easily dispossessed in first half. They scored one goal which was rightfully disallowed because their player pushed Romero before. However Bissouma stopped one attack with foul from behind and got yellow card. Then in stoppage time of first half he decided it's good time to try to trick referee for free kick on 18 meters with yellow card. He was between three opponents and felt and referee gave him second yellow card and sent him off. Replay supported that decision. It was 10 vs 11 in second half, but it was clear Spurs are far better team.

Fortunately in the beginning of second half Madders did his magic. He made some magic moves after corner, made craziness in Luton defense and found Mickey Van de Ven who scored goal from close range for 1:0. Soon after it was "nananana Mickey Van de Ven" situation among away fans. :)

Before that one Luton player failed to put ball inside the net from behind far post and went into goal kick with the ball. There were some dangerous situations inside our box after goal. We saw free header from inside the box which ended up above crossbar, few blocked attempts, a lot of corners, but Van de Ven, Romero, Udogie and Porro were good just like Vicario who made couple of good saves too. I didn't like how we retreated. I understand it was 11 vs 10, but think we should make couple of good counter attacks. There were opportunities, but in one near the end Hojbjerg tried to pass toward marked Skipp on the right instead of free players on the left, in other Dejan Kulusevski who ran like a tank didn't receive support of team mates while in other Sarr stormed on left side, but it also didn't end up with shot on goal. At least we kept ball good most of the time and grabbed 3 point from this place.

Trouble is we will miss Bissouma in next match against Fulham which will make game a lot harder because it will probably be Hojbjerg or Skipp who we will see on his position. Congratulations to everyone on hard earned 3 points. National break is in front of us again and I hope everyone will return from it in good health and ready for new game vs Fulham. COYS!
