UEFA

After to many scandals roof European football organisation UEFA decided to investigate what is going on with football in Serbia. Officials from beheaded Football Association of Serbia received letter from Switzerland informing them about a lot of fixed games. According to sources half league is under investigation, but not yet the biggest fish Red Star or Partizan. UEFA said they received disturbing information from far east telling they received some to big bets on some games which ended just like tipsters wanted. UEFA find behavior of some players in those games highly suspicious. FSS needs to investigate those claims now. Some sources are saying UEFA will send anonymous observers of games in Serbia which will inform them about suspicious games.

Following games are under shadow of doubt because of giving away points to clubs fighting to avoid relegation: Mladost – Zlatibor (0:2), Rad – Radnik (2:0) i Rad – Vojvodina (2:0). Game between Rad and Radnik Surdulica was removed from offer on local bookmakers because all town was talking Radnik will let Rad win because they need points to survive in league.

Following games are suspicious because of big bets on a lot of goals: Mačva – Proleter (3:1), Mladost – Radnički Niš (4:1) and Novi Pazar – Proleter (5:0). Coach of Vojvodina Nenad Lalatovic, for who we can say behave badly on some occasions, but for sure not like fixing, said to people in charge in club he's leaving on summer 100% and that they should find some other to dictate him first eleven on cup of coffee meetings. He also said once during his Radnički Niš times "He'll tell all about fixing games so this cross help him". Well he didn't so far and said "It was told in affect and anger."

There is one disturbing finding by pro Partizan journalist Željko Pantić. It's fact that Red Star didn't lose on home ground for almost 4 years. He made parallel with Dinamo Berlin from Eastern Germany and Steaua from Chausesku times and said Red Star has higher percentage of wins than those two clubs. Behind Dinamo Berlin was notorious Eastern Germany secret police Stazi and it's leader Erich Milke and behind Steatua was no less than Romanian dictator Nikoale Chausesku and his secret police called Securitatea. Atletico Madrid club supported by generals in times of general Franco's dictatorship also didn't have such records. Both Red Star and Partizan had to big winning rows this season. They might be the best, but even the best slip now and then if competition is regular. This investigation should not be limited to smaller clubs. I suggest investigators to watch Red Star - Indjija 2:1 game from last season and to ask referee why did he give Red Star penalty for foul on 18 meters and Indjija's goalkeeper why didn't he catch his clear ball but did header straight to Red Star player and then bring him down to make another penalty ? Goalkeeper from one other club (I think Radnik Surdulica) had strange under performance against Partizan in their 6:0 loss.

It looks it's not just players in the game but also referees and coaches and some high ranked personal from some clubs. Coaches pick up line up without main players to let other team win, referees are giving non existent penalties, players are making strange mistakes... It turned into parody of sport where only derby between Red Star and Partizan have some trace of regularity and uncertainty. Even in that game Partizan coach decided not to start with the best playmaker Seydouba Soumah, but let him play after 60th minute after Red Star already had 1:0 lead.

I am big fan of UEFA's "compulsory administration" in FSS and independent international investigators investigating those criminal activities and political influence in football. We're living in 21st century and we deserve normal and regular football competition. As Pep Guardiola said after Leeds United "Sometimes defeat is required".
