La Liga champions Barcelona have a new target in the summer. The Catalunya team was reported to want to bring Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer transfer market.

In this 2018/2019 season, Barcelona experienced a striker crisis. They only had Luis Suarez as their spearhead before they borrowed Kevin Prince Boateng, because they were left by their two strikers, Paco Alcacer and Munir El-Haddadi.

Barcelona itself is reportedly not going to make Boateng services more convenient. For that they will hunt a new striker in the summer.

According to reports released by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have won a new candidate for their attacking line. They are said to be trying to bring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal.

Sharpness Tested

Barcelona itself is considering bringing in the Gabon National Team striker because of his good track record.

Aubameyang has a reputation as a goal-hungry predator after he joined Borussia Dortmund. Together with Die Borussien, he had won the Bundesliga top scorer title in 2017.

After moving to England, Aubameyang's sharpness did not diminish. This season he won the gold shoe trophy after netting 22 goals for Arsenal, so Barcelona considered the former AC Milan would be suitable for their team.

Will be difficult

But the report claims that Barcelona will not be easy to seduce Aubameyang to move to Spain.

The first is because Aubameyang does not want to be a reserve player in Barcelona. He only wants to move if he is guaranteed to be Barcelona's main striker next season.

In addition, Arsenal also do not plan to sell the striker. They judge Aubameyang as their valuable asset, where Unai Emery wants to build his team with Aubameyang as the center of his game.
