The Indonesian women's national soccer team was defeated by Taiwan 4-0 in the preliminary round of the 2018 Asian A Group at the Jakabaring Sriwijaya Stadium, Palembang, on Sunday night. This defeat became the first after the first match of Indonesia bent the Maldives 6-0.

Since the early minutes, class differences have been seen. The Chinese Chinese National Team immediately invited to play half the field in the heart of Indonesia's defense. Only five minutes later after kick off, the Chinese Taipei goal was created through Yu Hsiuchin.

The chances of the home team are almost non-existent. The striker Mayang only had one chance to break through the Taiwan midfield. As a result, successive goals were created namely in the 16th minute through Chan Pihan, 33rd minute through Lin Yahan, and 39th minute through Pao Hsiuchin. Of the four goals in the first half, three goals were created through a header using a cross.

Entering the second half, Indonesia improved its playing strategy by putting players in the position not to open the opportunity for crossing in the area of the penalty box.

It turned out that the tactic was quite fruitful because during the first half no goal was created by an opponent. The good results in the second round also could not be separated from the slick game of the national team goalkeeper, Boma Norffince who several times managed to brush off the ball "on target". "I feel responsible, how to keep the goal from conceding," Fince said at a press conference.

Norffince was forced to fall awake to save his goal from an opponent's surging attack, such as the Taiwanese player's free kick in the 81st minute which almost became a goal.

The result was that the Indonesian goal did not concede a goal in the second half so that the final score of the match was 4-0 to win Taiwan.

Meanwhile Taiwan coach Horino Hiroyuki said he was very impressed with the fighting power of Indonesian players. "They continue to struggle throughout the game, do not know surrender. Although they have missed 4 goals but are still passionate. This is a really tough team," said Hirino.

With this result, Indonesia still had the hope of wandering into the next round armed with a 6-0 win from Maldives. But the opportunity is open if Thailand slips in the second match of Group C. Furthermore Indonesia will face South Korea on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.
