The Premier League has officially begun. Although behind closed doors, the restart has been met with great delight. Lot of players have had the chance to impress the boss but there are some who might be on their last dance. Lets take a look at some players who may have the last chance to impress the manager and their fans.

FORMATION : 4-4-2

GOALKEEPER : KEPA ARIZZABALAGA

The world’s most expensive goalkeeper is having a tough time out this season. The Europa League winner was often dropped by Frank Lampard and may as well have a final chance or else a transfer is not far. He has managed to keep only 6 clean sheets in 25 matches in the league this season.

CENTRE BACK : PHIL JONES

The 27 year old has always been favored by managers at Manchester United despite his disastrous performances. Under Solskjaer though, it may be his swan song. Maguire, Lindelof, Bailly and Tuanzebe may as well have wrapped up Phil Jones’s career at Manchester United.

CENTRE BACK : DAVID LUIZ

After the game against City, the 33 year old’s career may as well have ended. Comparatively, Luiz still has a better chance at a spot as compared to Phil Jones. With Saliba returning from his loan spell, this starting place might be under threat.

RIGHT BACK : JOAO CANCELO

After a surprise summer switch to Manchester City, the 26 year old has indeed been a disappointment after starting only 9 matches. A player of great potential, the Portuguese international is struggling to find his form in the Premier League.

LEFT BACK : DANNY ROSE

After being sent out on loan from Tottenham to Newcastle United, the 29 year old has just started 6 times and failed to impress. Danny Rose has a lot of competition for the Euros too as he would have to compete with Luke Shaw for the spot.

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER : TANGUY NDOMBELE

The French international joined Spurs for a fee of 54 million but has unfortunately failed to compete for a spot in the midfield. Under Jose Mourinho, his form has started picking up but is lacking consistency.

CENTRAL MIDFIELDER : JESSE LINGARD

From being a star in Manchester United’s FA Cup victory to not even featuring on the bench for the team, the fall of the 27 year old has been really vast. Since Bruno Fernandes’s arrival and Pogba’s return, game-time has been restricted to only the FA Cup and Europa League for the English international.

RIGHT MIDFIELDER : NICHOLAS PEPE

After a 72 million switch from Lille, the Ivorian international has failed to please supporters and the owners. The 23 year old has a lot of potential and will require some time to deliver.

LEFT MIDFIELDER : FELIPE ANDERSON

The 27 year old was a joy to watch in the previous season but has failed to impress this season for the Hammers. With only 1 goal and 4 assists in 24 matches, the Brazilian international has been a real let-down for many this season.

CENTER FORWARD : JOELINTON

The 44 million record signing has been the highlight of Newcastle’s failure this season. With just 2 goals in 28 starts this season, the 23 year old is the most likely to be dropped from the squad this season.

CENTER FORWARD : DOMINIC SOLANKE

The 22 year old has cut a disappointing figure at Bournemouth. After a 19 million switch from Liverpool, the English international has failed to live upto his transfer fee. The Englishman has not scored a single goal in 12 starts this season.
