Willy racked up a total of 23 Domestic Cup appearances for Chelsea during his four-year spell at Stamford Bridge

He may not have enjoyed the best of Premier League life at Chelsea, but Wilfredo "Willy" Caballero will always have the heart of the fans.

Although Chelsea had confirmed his departure on 30 June, the Blues officially said goodbye to the towering shot-stopper on Thursday.

Willy, as he's fondly called, was part of a seven-man list of players Chelsea are shipping out this summer.

Though Willy has seen fewer games during his spell at Chelsea than he's had during his entire time at Manchester City, he, however, managed to pip former Blues no. 1 Kepa Arrizzabalaga as a favourite under Frank Lampard the last season.

During that period, Willy played for Chelsea in the FA Cup final 2-1 loss to neighbours Arsenal. The Argentine also featured in the Blues goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, losing both legs on a 7-1 aggregate.

It unclear where Caballero will go next, but his departure—though expected—has forced plenty of heartfelt messages from his teammates at Chelsea.

One of them came from Tammy Abraham, who admitted the 39-year-old would be missed dearly.

Former captain and club legend John Terry also wished him the best of luck after his exit.

Caballero joined Chelsea from Premier League rivals Manchester City in 2017.

During his four-year spell at Stamford Bridge, the towering shot-stopper racked up 11 Premier League appearances.

More players, however, are expected to leave Chelsea this summer. The Blues have already shipped off Billy Gilmour on loan to returned Premier League side Norwich City.

Striker Giroud is also expected to leave for AC Milan this summer—though an agreement between both clubs is still underway.
