Age falsification in football is something that can't be completely eradicated. We've seen players who are already in their 30s but will slash down their age by forging their birth certificates so that they can remain in football for a long time.

Although, age cheating is very in some continent but very common among African players. We've seen players who have been busted and sold out of their clubs for falsifying their age. We've even heard of players who claim they are 20 years while their younger brother or sister is up over 25 years.. Isn't this ridiculous? 😁

Victor Emenayo Archives claims he's 23 years instead of 40 years

I can go on and on to give many cases of players who have been caught. Age falsification in football has been a big challenge despite football authorities trying their best to get to grips and sanction culprits.

I can vividly when Somalia were expelled from Fifa Under-17 World Cup tournament in 2013 for fielding over-age players. We've seen so seen many African team fielding players of over 25 years to participate in Under 17 World tournaments. This is something that happens in other claims too but it's just very common with African players

I saw a picture this morning and I've just been laughing. Looking at these players, they are obviously in their late twenties or early thirties but you can see their age. Just take a deep look at this picture and tell me what you think about it

Francis Uzoho looks 30 but he claims 19

Zobi looks 35 but he claims 19

Yousouf looks 27 but he claims 13

Elia Meschak looks 30 but he claims 21

Joseph looks 40 but claims 21

Victor Emenayo looks 32 but claims 23
