I often hear people saying all footballers are liars. I know this may sound weird but come to think it it, they really are. Maybe calling them liars is an offensive word to use, so let me call masters of pretence or deception 😅

Every footballer does anything they can to make their team win a match. They're expected to lie, pretend and feign innocence even though what they did is so glaring to even a blind spectator. When the referee sounds his whistle for an deserving foul the player would still pretend the referee is being unfair

Every footballer and even their coach always make the referee or the officials look like they have poor sight especially when their decisions aren't in their favour. They argue and even go as far as abusing referee or the officials either during a foul, offside call or a penalty

This long practise that players are expected to exaggerate the tinniest of contact, dive at any slight contact just to make sure they get the free kick or penalty. They can fall dramatically to the ground at the tinniest amount of contact and act like they are going to die the next minute but in the next few minutes the same player get up running like nothing just happened 🤣

Even with the introduction of VAR, the deployment only on major incidents ensures players will continue this practice or pretence to cheat in order to ensure they get a free kick, penalty or a booking.

This leaves me with the conclusion that footballers are the masters of deception

What do you guys think?
