The two teams are in for a battle today to advance to the round of 16. Both teams needs only a draw to achieve their aim in the group. The Super Eagles needs only a draw to stay afloat in the group in group B while Madagascar on the other hands needs a draw too to advance to the round of 16.
The Super Eagles were the first team to qualify for the elimination round before host nation, Egypt. They won their first game against Burundi in a 1-0 victory while they also won their second game against Guinea in a 1-0 victory which made the Eagles emerge the first team to qualify to the round of 16 at the 2019 AFCON
Madagascar on the other hand are second in the group. They have four points and will qualify for the round of 16 if they avoid defeat against Super Eagles. They pulled a 2-2 draw with Guinea in their first while they defeated Burundi in a 1-0 victory on their second game which marks their first ever victory at the African Cup of Nations. These guys are so agile, focus and determined in this tournament and will do anything to hold the Super Eagles down today
