Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o has boasted to AFP that he's truly the best player in the history of African football. Eto'o goes on to say he's not afraid to make this claim as it's a fact that he's the best African player in the history whether you accept it or not.

Eto’o clinched the African Player of the year title four different times and was also nominated for the 2005 Ballon d'Or where he came third. Eto'o undoubtedly was a great player during his prime at Barcelona and Inter. He was very good in scoring goals in unimaginable ways and was also a one time dreaded strikers in Europe.
He believes he's the best player the African continent has ever produced given his achievements during his football career for not only his country but also the various clubs he played for.

Eto'o may be the most decorated African player but I think he went overboard to rate himself as the best player Africa has ever produced. If we are to place them on a scale of rank I think it's got to be George Weah who still holds the highest individual awards than Eto’o.
