Following the 2021 Nations Cup Qualifier game between the Super Eagles and Sierra Leone, Coach Rohr has been heavily criticized for his wrong substitution, poor team selection and lack of tactics. How can you explain a team leading 4-1 in the first half and then collapses in the second half which gave the visiting team the chance to equalize?
Although, this isn't the first time the Super Eagles have messed up in the qualifiers or friendly game but this particular one caused public uproar demanding that he should be sacked as such a coach possibly can't take the team anywhere
In August 2016, Rohr was installed as Super Eagles coach and his Nigeria-led team became the first African side to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World. He also qualified the Super Eagles for 2019 African Cup of Nations and finished at third place
Since Rohr has been coaching the Super Eagles he has been having a tough time building his team. He has had a tough time having a reliable first eleven and that's why he's giving every player a chance in the squad.
He's currently receiving backlash as many people now consider him as a coach who lacks good tactics, poor team management and immature style of play
