FIFA proposed the expansion of 48 teams that will be participating in Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup which has been heavily criticized by people. After thorough and comprehensive consultation, FIFA has come to a conclusion that the expansion has been abandoned due to some reasons
If the expansion was implemented and was not abandoned, 2022 World Cup would probably be one of the worst FIFA world cup tournament due to poor planning and too many participants.
Even if Qatar could carter for 48 teams, the quality of the football we would be seeing at the World Cup would be compromised and it will look crap
