Jakarta - Indonesian women's basketball coach, Arif Gunarto, announced 12 players who will perform at the 2018 Asian Games event. Of the 12 names, six of them are players of Surabaya Fever.

The six players are Clarita Antonio, Ivonne Sinatra, Natasha Debby Christaline, Gabriel Sophia, Henny Sutjiono and Nathania Claresta Orville. This is understandable because Surabaya Fever is the champion of Indonesian basketball competition, Srikandi Cup 2018.

Interestingly, Merpati Bali which is finalist Srikandi Cup 2018 only send one name. Kadek Pratita Citta Dewi becomes the representative of Merpati Bali.

Previously, there were 14 names sent for intensive tests and intensive training in South Korea for three weeks. Two players eventually dropped, namely Tiara Aulia Denaya (Tanago Friesian Jakarta) and Helena Tumbelaka (Merpati Bali).

Currently the national team headed straight to Cirebon to prepare to continue the training camp, and Helena and Tiara have been allowed to join the team since Saturday (21/7/2018), said Arif.

At the 2018 Asian Games, Indonesian Women's Basketball Team will be joined in Group X along with Korea, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, and India.
