When we enjoy a film in this case that is related to sport, despite the fact that time passes, we remember it, especially if the film has a message that captures the authentic experiences of the environment.

This happened to me with this film and an arsenal of films that I have seen through time, but this one goes back to my time when I was in high school.

I think many who like and love basketball will have seen it, but perhaps not the younger ones.

Above the Rim portrays the talent and perseverance of a young man who dreams of reaching the basketball mecca, but encounters certain obstacles along the way. When I talk about a film or analyze it, I don't like to reveal much of the material so that the person who reads it can taste it on their own.

This film along with others that I have in my personal video library portrays the essence of the 90's and even links all the problems that are presented, but gives as a reference that the sport in this case basketball is the escape and the resource to fulfill the dreams of every young person who aspires to be great through perseverance and effort.

Here we can see Bernie Mac in one of his first films, Marlon Wayans also known for his comedies, Tupac Shakur performing the act he liked best and many other good artists. This film is directed by Jeff Pollack.

I hope you enjoyed this publication, to those who have seen this film leave me your comments about it and to those who have not, look for it and enjoy it to absorb some of what was the golden era of the 90's.
