Hello Scorum Fans! Today I present to you Episode 71 of NBA Highlights, and for today's Episode, we will have some highlights from the second overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft, Ja Morant.
Just like the New Orleans Pelicans, the Memphis Grizzlies do what they have to do as they select Ja Morant with the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Just as expected, the Grizzlies did not even try to make a scene and surprise everybody picking somebody else. This was already expected after they traded their longtime franchise point guard Mike Conley. They needed a fresh start and drafting a young talented guard like Ja Morant is a nice way to start.
The Murray State guard spent two years in the university and he impressed NBA Scouts in his second year where he became a standout prospect that puts him as the second overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft. His skills are really outstanding. He's a complete point guard. He can shoot, he can make plays, he's athletic enough and he can create his own shot. He's a deadline scoring point guard who's at the same time a great floor general. The Grizzlies really made a nice selection there. They can now pair him to Jaren Jackson and those two would surely make a noise in the league.
