This NBA Draft will be one of the strongest lately and there will be many talented players with great potential. Here is some list of players that are projected to be among Top 10 Draft picks:

 

I have watched all of them and beside Dončić I really like Mohamed Bamba and DeAndre Ayton. You should know that NBA teams are choosing players mostly on potential, not on current numbers. Physical abilities are most important, after it comes basketball IQ and skills come after that.  

Most of the players from this list will be successful NBA players but for me Dončić is best among them.

Why I think like that?

First of all Dončić has played in much stronger competition than other Draft prospects, Euroleague. Euroleague is much stronger than NCAA and Dončić was MVP and he has won Euroleague title with his team. He was playing and dominating against mature, experienced players and guys from NCAA play against players their own age.

Second thing, he is 6'7'' point guard with great basketball IQ, great court vision and great scoring abilities. In NBA there is almost no pure point guards that will make other teammates better.  I miss watching players like Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Isiah Thomas that were making their teammates better. Luka is that kind of player.

Third reason is Igor Kokoškov, new Suns coach. He was coach of Dončić at Slovenia national team and they won Eurobasket together. If his word has some power at picking players, there is no doubt that he will take player that lead him to title.

We will see am I right but regardless of NBA Draft position, I am sure that Dončić will have great NBA career and I am really looking forward to see him in NBA.
