What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the Houston Rockets and the news that the Rockets are making a major change in their roster. Let's start!
After years of failures to defeat the greatest dynasty in this era, the Houston Rockets are now ready to make a big change ahead for their future. In the past 5 years, the Golden State Warriors are the most dominant team in the NBA and they've been in the Finals in 5 straight years. And in those dominant years, only the Houston Rockets gave them a real competition and the only team to have a shot in defeating the powerhouse Warriors. They were too close last year but this year, it becomes even worst as the Warriors dominated the Rockets in the playoffs. The closest was last year but from here, I don't think that they will be better without making major changes.
Houston believed that they really have the chance last year so they retained Chris Paul offering him a massive deal. But now, they are stocked in that deal and it will be very hard to move on from that. General Manager Daryl Morey decided to make his entire roster and future draft picks available for trades except for James Harden. He hopes that this will make the team better and they are looking for a change that can really put them in the right direction to beat the best team in the world.
No one is safe except Harden so Clint Capela and Chris Paul will be the most tradable assets. Maybe they can fool the Lakers to trade for Chris Paul so that LeBron James can fulfill his dream to play with his banana boat crew before he retires. There will be a lot of eyes on Clint Capela I think as well as Eric Gordon. So, I think that if there is a great deal for Capela or Gordon, GM Daryl Morley will surely look at it.
