The Carmelo Anthony drama has been in the headlines this past few weeks. Melo still couldn’t find a new home in the NBA even after he went live to speak publicly in an exclusive interview by Stephen A. Smith on a special episode of First Take. And after this disappointment, looks like Melo still couldn’t catch a break. As many people hope for Anthony’s return to the world stage to join Team USA for the FIBA World Cup, news spread all over the world that Team USA has no interest in adding the 10-time all-star to their roster. They added that taking Melo to the team may cause distraction.
Carmelo Anthony was one of the best players to ever play for team USA. He earned a total of 4 Gold Medals and holds different international records including the all-time leading scorer for Team USA. Melo wanted to establish himself to make an NBA comeback but the World Cup is no place for that. He should do it in the NBA. For the meantime, we will still not be able to see Melo play again for team USA, let’s see if an NBA picks him up.
