NBA Talk #253: Lakers could sign Carmelo Anthony failed to acquire Andre Iguodala

What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today we will talk about the latest news and updates for the 2019 offseason! Let's start!

The Golden State Warriors recently traded Finals MVP Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies to open up space for all-star guard D'Angelo Russell. Andre Iguodala is their second-best defender but they have no choice.

The Grizzlies, on the other hand, are unlikely to keep the veteran forward so expect the Grizzlies to buy him out or trade him. The Lakers and the Clippers are the front runners in acquiring Iguodala as they are rumored to be the top two teams in Iguodala's list of teams he wants to play for.

So, the main priority is to get Andre Iguodala but if they failed, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox suggests that the Lakers should go for Plan B which is to sign the 10-time all-star Carmelo Anthony.

Nobody can tell how will it work out for the Lakers if they sign Melo. But the 10-time all-star is now willing to take on any role just yo end his career in a good and nice way. But for the championship contender L.A. Lakers, they would surely want a player who can contribute on both ends of the floor.
