What's up basketball fans! I am here again @dwin0603 to give you another exciting basketball discussion for another episode of NBA Talk, and today, I'm going to give you something special. Something that many basketball fans will be eager to talk about. We will today talk about who's better, Kevin Durant or LeBron James? Let's do this!

Back in 2016, Kevin Durant and his Oklahoma City Thunder blew out a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals against Steph Curry and his Golden State Warriors, which was the final games of KD wearing a Thunder uniform. That was the same year LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers overcome a 3-1 deficit in the Finals which made a mark in the history of the game as the greatest comeback ever.

KD couldn't bring his team to the finals on his own or even with Russell Westbrook by his side. So, after the Warriors beat him and the Thunder, he decided to join the Warriors the following season. That move by KD makes him loose the respect and love from most NBA fans. It was a weak move joining an already championship bound team just to make his path to success easier.

When KD was still with the Thunder, he was one of the most respected players in the league and he was recognized as one of the top players in the league but all of that recognition turned into criticism and hate after joining the Warriors. He hurts his own legacy and I think the only thing he can do to get the respect back is to leave the Warriors, join another team and bring them championships. He can stay with the Warriors and win multiple championships but that wouldn't change a thing because his legacy can't be repaired by those championships. People will still look at him as a man who joined a team that he can't beat.

KD is Jealous of LeBron

Yes, you red it right. I know some of you will agree and most will disagree. I know some will say that I'm too bias and I favor LBJ but this is the truth in my opinion. I don't want to disrespect KD. He'll end up as one of the greatest but he can't achieve what LeBron already achieved. KD is too jealous of the recognition and the attention LeBron is getting in all aspects. He's too tired of just being the number 2 man behind LeBron and the fact that he can't match LeBron's greatness even after winning 2 championships and 2 finals MVP with the Warriors pisses him off. Those 2 championships have no true meaning for many basketball fans. That's too easy. Yeah, he beat James and the Cavs in 2017 and 2018 but James averaged a 33 point triple double in the 2017 Finals series and his 2018 Cavs was a mess. It's clearly a mismatch but did you watch game 1 of the 2018 Finals? James almost beat the Warriors all by himself if JR Smith didn't screw up in the final seconds. All the momentum are gone from the Cavs since that lose and that resulted to an easy win for Durant and the Warriors. I believe LeBron should've won the MVP award that year with his incredible performance all season long despite facing too many dramas and other issues and still bringing his team to the Finals.

What KD should've done instead of joining the Warriors

KD was never been compared to Michael Jordan. LeBron always did. KD was not considered to be a threat for MJ as the Greatest of all time. LeBron was always a threat. The edge is too deep and KD should accept that. Whatever he does, he will never catch LeBron. He's younger and can still achieve things but I don't see him reaching LeBron. And as you all know, the Golden State Warriors is Stephen Curry's team. I know everybody would agree. He should've extended his stay with OKC and try again the following season because they're almost there. They're one game away from the finals in 2016. He should've just stay and try again than leave and join the team that seemed to be the only one better than them. And his decision to join the Warriors is clearly the reason why Durant's reputation took a major downfall.

James is Greater than Durant

Championships is not everything when talking about who's greater. Even if Durant win 2 more Championships with the Warriors he will still not be greater than LBJ. Think of this, if you believe that championship is all that matters then Bill Russell is better than MJ. But we never consider that. Durant's not even the best player in his team. Steph Curry is Golden State's franchise player. LeBron changed the game. Curry changed the game. LeBron is simply just greater than Kevin Durant. So what Durant believe doesn't make sense at all. He said that he is now greater than LeBron because he beat him in the finals? With his overpowered Golden State Warriors? Wow. And who said LBJ is not clutch? James has more playoffs buzzer-beaters and in elimination games and game 7's, he averaged more points than any other player in history. Kevin Durant will never be greater than LeBron. Period.

That is all for today folks! Hope you enjoy reading. Now, KD fans will surely come at me. What's your take? Do you agree with me? Or are you against me? I would be glad to hear your thoughts so drop your comments now and let's have some basketball talk! :)
