Dirk Nowitzki once again signed a one-year contract with Dallas Mavericks. The 40-year-old German basketball player at the Texas club has been appearing since the beginning of his NBA career. 
Season 2018/19 will be his 21st in Mavericks colors. No one has been associated with one team for so long.

For 21 years Robert Parish, Kevin Willis and Kevin Garnett also have played in the NBA before, but in different clubs. Nowitzki is expected to earn five million dollars for the upcoming season. For the previous seasons, he earned USD 250 million.

Nowitzki in 2011 led Mavericks to the championship. He became the most valuable player (MVP) of the final series. He is a 13-time participant in the Match of the Stars, and on the list of the most effective shooters of all time he takes sixth place. He is the only player from outside the US, who has exceeded the ceiling of 30,000 points.

Nowitzki is a versatile player who plays mainly in a strong wing position, but also as a center and low winger. 

He is the winner of the 2006 NBA All-Star Three-Point Shootout competition (throws competition for 3 points).

In 2006-2007, Nowitzki became the fifth member of the NBA 50-40-90 Club for players who scored 50% or more field shots, 40% or more for 3 points, and 90% or more of free throws in one season, simultaneously reaching the NBA league minimum in each category.
